Victor Abimbola Olaiya, a.k.a Victor Olaiya, was a legendary Nigerian highlife musician, band leader, trumpeter, and entrepreneur.
Though he earned an engineering degree from a US college, he loved music and thus followed his passion.
His music was a cross between Ghanaian highlife and Afrobeat and was largely influenced by James Brown and Tony Allen.
He formed his own band, the Cool Cats, which later became the All Stars Band.
Olaiya released several songs and was actively playing till his demise on February 2020.
